The subject of tank destroyers has always been one of the publishers' main areas of interest. The Marder III series was a very important and interesting series that produced volumes 15, 17 and 18. We accepted at the time that it was also historically important to include the Marder II as it was one of the early and capable tank destroyers. But we also knew that our readers were interested in other important German ground vehicles of the Second World War. We had decided that another volume in the tank destroyer family about the important "Marder II" would follow, but at a later date. To keep the series varied, we produced titles with different themes such as tank artillery and half-track vehicles etc. In the meantime, we had received additional information/photos etc. on earlier tank destroyer vehicles and therefore revised volume 9 on the armored RSO and volume 23 on the Panzerjäger I; together with a new volume 24 on the "Marder II" based on the Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. D & E. Now, just in time for Christmas 2013, we are proud to present Nuts & Bolts Vol. 31 about the "Marder II" (Sd.Kfz. 131) on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. A-C & F
